Today’s Teas: Natela’s Gold, Moroccan Mint, & Savannah Rooibos

Today we are serving up three great teas, an artisan tea from the Black Sea, the exotic green tea in the Moroccan tradition, and a tasty caffeine free herbal blend of chocolate, almond and rum.

Natela’s Gold: Handmade in the peak of the Spring season, Natela brings this treasured tea to you from the Caucasus Mountains in the country Georgia. This black tea has a sweetness with hints of pine and cedar, making it a wonderful tea for afternoon or evening. Enjoy it while supplies last! This tea is similar to the Georgian Beauty tea we also sell, so if you like the Georgian Beauty you’ll also enjoy this one!

Moroccan Mint Green Tea

Moroccan Mint Green Tea: Chinese Gunpowder green tea blended with mint leaves, tastes like you’re in Morocco. Add lots of sugar to drink it like the Moroccans do. Also tastes nice with honey. Check out Jonathan’s travel journal about tea in Morocco!

Savannah Rooibos is a great herbal blend with rich flavors of cocoa pieces, almond bits, and chocolate-rum flavoring. During these cool months, this makes a great dessert drink with sweetener and whipped cream on top!

It’s a foggy day out today, so we are sampling some of our organically grown Chinese Fog Tea, from the misty mountains of southeast China. Come taste these teas and find thoughtful gifts for everyone.

Wedding Chai: Assam with vanilla, & cardamom. If you like cardamom, you’ll love this creamy, chai blend. The robust Assam tea gives it a bold, full-bodied flavor accented by the smooth cardamom and sweet vanilla flavors.

Fog Tea: Grown in the mist and fog of the southeastern mountains of China, this organic tea has the richness of a Japanese green tea, yet the more subtle notes of a great Chinese green tea. The fog makes the tea more green with chlorophyll, adding richer notes to this unique tea. A wonderful tea for those tasting green tea for the first time.

Chocolate Ginger Rooibos is sure to please with its slightly spicy ginger taste and rich chocolate notes. Blended with South African Rooibos (Red Bush), it also contains chocolate bits, ginger, and flavoring. This makes a great dessert tea or a fun holiday treat.

White Christmas: “I’m dreaming of a…” Black tea blend from Ceylon, Southern India, and China, flavored with orange peels, coconut chips, almond flakes, rose blossom leaves, and cinnamon. Fragrant holiday spice tea. Goes well with milk and sweetener.

Organic Sencha is an excellent Japanese green tea that is organically grown and offers the delightful, fresh, green, grassy taste of a good Japanese green tea. Japanese green teas contain a higher moisture content compared to other teas, so they are best prepared at lower temperatures, about 165-170°F, for about 1.5 minutes for the first steeping, about 30-45 seconds for the second steeping and 2 minutes for the third steeping.

Holiday Rooibos: Celebrate the holidays with this spiced herbal tea! This is a fun tea to get cozy with your loves ones and drink hot tea. This blend includes rooibos flavored with grapes, apple bits, orange peels, cinnamon and almond flakes. Naturally caffeine free.

Zhen Qu is a delicious black tea from Yunnan, China, with a curly leaf shape and a brown and black appearance. This tea has a chocolate hint to it, along with the typical notes of earthy, sweet flavors, characteristic of Yunnan black teas. This is a great tea to try if you are a coffee drinker, offering a robust and rich taste. This Amy’s favorite tea!

Winter Dreams: A Chocolate Mint Treat! This blend includes black tea, peppermint leaves, cacao bits, nut crunch, flavoring, red pepper, and wheat crisps. Great with a little milk and sugar. Not just for the winter season.

Genmaicha used to be a poor man’s tea, since the peasants couldn’t afford to have enough tea for their cup, they added roasted rice. Now popular in Japan, this blend of green tea has roasted rice and popcorn, making a savory infusion. Great with sushi!

 

Sunrise Blend has a fragrant aroma of grapefruit and orange, making this naturally caffeine free fruit herbal tea a wonderful citrus blend. Blend includes Apple pieces, carrot flakes, blackberry eucalyptus leaves, beetroot pieces, hibiscus, lemongrass, flavoring, freeze dried tangerine-orange pieces, & orange slices. This is a great tea for the Winter season while grapefruits are in season!
